Research Interests
Dr Sun’s research interests include the diagnosis and treatment of gynecological oncology, the immunotherapy of cervical cancer, and the carcinogenesis of human papillomavirus (HPV) infection. She is currently focused on developing immunotherapeutic strategies to prevent and treat HPV-associated cervical cancer, especially on the role of CD8+ T lymphocytes, tissue-resident memory (TRM) CD8+ T lymphocytes, as well as BCL11B regulation in T lymphocytes. She is also working on clinical translational research of HPV vaccine, such as the therapeutic role of photosensitizer-induced HPV16 E7 nanovaccines and HPV16 FAP-E7 nanovaccines on mouse cervical cancer model.
