Research Interests
Dr. Zhen Yang is a vice Professor at Department of Endocrinology of Xinhua Hospital affiliated to Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine, China. She obtained her PhD in Endocrinology at Shanghai Jiaotong University, China in 2007. After a postdoc at Fudan University, where she studied genetics of type 2 diabetes, she dedicated her research to the study of molecular mechanisms causing type 2 diabetes and metabolic disease. Her research group has over the last two decades pioneered the field of cytokines and abnormal glucose and lipid metabolism.
