Jianhua Zhang is a professor of pediatrics, chief physician, PhD(medical doctor), doctoral supervisor, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine. He graduated from the Department of Pediatrics, Nanjing Medical University in 1987, and received his master's and Doctor's degrees in medicine from Soochow University in 1993 and 1999. He was a visiting scholar at the University of Hawaii School of Medicine in 2011. Currently, he is the director of Pediatric Respiratory Department (national key clinical specialty) of Xinhua Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine.
Professor Zhang is a member of the Standing Committee of Pediatricians Branch of Chinese Medical Doctor Association and Chairman of the Children's Respiratory Committee. Member of Respiratory Group, Pediatric Branch of Chinese Medical Association, leader of children's chronic cough collaborative group. National Children's Medical Center Yangtze River Delta Pediatric Respiratory Alliance vice chairman. Standing Committee Member of Children's Health and Pharmaceutical Research Committee of China Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine, etc. He is the standing editorial board and editorial board member of Chinese Journal of Clinical Practical Pediatrics, Journal of Clinical Pediatrics, Journal of Educational Biology, and Pediatric Pulmonology (Chinese version).
Professor Zhang has rich clinical experience in the diagnosis, treatment and research of respiratory tract infections, asthma, chronic cough, tuberculosis infection and allergic diseases in children.
