上海交通大學(xué)醫(yī)學(xué)院附屬第九人民醫(yī)院創(chuàng)建于1920年，是一所擁有5位中國工程院院士、3個(gè)國家重點(diǎn)學(xué)科、9個(gè)國家臨床重點(diǎn)專科、4個(gè)國家211工程重點(diǎn)學(xué)科、國家口腔疾病臨床醫(yī)學(xué)研究中心、11個(gè)上海市重點(diǎn)學(xué)科和上海市臨床醫(yī)學(xué)中心等的學(xué)科特色鮮明、具備一定臨床科技創(chuàng)新核心競爭力、國內(nèi)知名的三級甲等綜合性醫(yī)院。
口腔醫(yī)學(xué)、整復(fù)外科和骨科等國家重點(diǎn)學(xué)科在全國處于領(lǐng)先地位，骨科、牙體牙髓科、口腔頜面外科、牙周科、口腔修復(fù)科、眼科、口腔正畸科、口腔黏膜科、整復(fù)外科等國家臨床重點(diǎn)專科在國內(nèi)享有盛譽(yù)。
截至2021年底，醫(yī)院占地面積127.9畝，總建筑面積25萬平方米。核定床位2150張，口腔綜合椅位1000張。全院職工5000余人。醫(yī)院年門急診量460萬人次，年住院量超過13萬人次，門診手術(shù)18萬人次。
上海交通大學(xué)醫(yī)學(xué)院附屬第九人民醫(yī)院實(shí)體化建設(shè)上海交通大學(xué)口腔醫(yī)學(xué)院，并為臨床教學(xué)基地。擁有博士點(diǎn)、碩士點(diǎn)及博士后流動站，擁有博士生導(dǎo)師148名，碩士生導(dǎo)師195名。
醫(yī)院連續(xù)十五屆被評為上海市文明單位，2020年獲評全國文明單位，多次獲評“全國城市醫(yī)院文化建設(shè)先進(jìn)集體”、“上海市五一勞動獎狀”等榮譽(yù)稱號。

Shanghai Ninth People's Hospital
Shanghai Ninth People's Hospital (Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine) was established in 1920. Shanghai Ninth People's Hospital is a well-known tertiary first-class general hospital with distinctive disciplinary characteristics and certain core competitiveness of clinical technology innovation, which has 5 Academicians of China National Engineering, 3 National Key Disciplines, 9 National Key Clinical Specialties, 4 National Key Disciplines of 211 Projects, 1 National Clinical Research Center for Oral Diseases, 11 Shanghai Key Disciplines and Shanghai Clinical Medical Center.
The national key disciplines such as stomatology, plastic surgery and orthopedics are leading in the country. The national key clinical specialties such as orthopedics, endodontics, oral and maxillofacial surgery, periodontology, oral prosthetics, ophthalmology, orthodontics, oral mucosa, plastic surgery have a good reputation in China.
The hospital covers an area of 127.9 acres by the end of 2021, with a total construction area of 250,000 square meters. 2150 beds and 1000 dental chairs were approved. There are more 5,000 employees in the hospital. The number of outpatient and emergency was 4.60 million for one year. The number of inpatient operation was 130,000 and the outpatient operation was 180,000.
There are two colleges in the hospital; one is College of Stomatology, the other is Jiuyuan College of Clinical Medicine. It has doctoral, master's and post-doctoral mobile stations, which own 148 Ph.D. supervisors and 195 M.D. supervisors.
The hospital has been rated as a civilization unit in Shanghai for 15 consecutive years, and won the honorary title of “National Urban Hospital Culture Construction Advanced Collectivity” and “Shanghai Labor Medal”.
