Research Interests

T cells as pivotal effectors in antitumor immunity play a central role in cell-mediated tumor clearance. Specific metabolic programs are tightly controlled to mediate T cell immune responses. The research in our laboratory focuses on the metabolic mechanisms regulating antitumor T cell immunity. We are characterizing the crucial targets controlling T cell glucose metabolism and elucidating the metabolic mechanisms regulating T cell-mediated tumor immune response or tolerance. We will determine how to improve the efficiency of tumor immunotherapy by targeting glucose metabolism.
