口腔醫(yī)學院簡介

上海交通大學口腔醫(yī)學院的前身是震旦大學醫(yī)學院牙醫(yī)系創(chuàng)建于1932年。1952年9月,全國高等學校院系調(diào)整,由圣約翰大學醫(yī)學院、同德醫(yī)學院與震旦大學醫(yī)學院合并,成立上海第二醫(yī)學院,牙醫(yī)系則改稱為上海第二醫(yī)學院口腔醫(yī)學系,這是新中國成立初全國最早建立的4個口腔醫(yī)學系之一。1987年10月,改名為上海第二醫(yī)科大學口腔醫(yī)學院。2005年7月,上海第二醫(yī)科大學與上海交通大學合并,同年10月,隨之更名為上海交通大學口腔醫(yī)學院。

上海交通大學口腔醫(yī)學是教育部第一批高等學校特色專業(yè)建設點,教育部“211工程”重點學科,上海市高峰學科建設,入選教育部“雙一流學科”,上海市地方高校高水平建設學科。口腔臨床醫(yī)學是國家級重點學科、口腔基礎醫(yī)學是國家級重點(培育)學科和上海市重點學科,上海市臨床重點專科,口腔頜面外科、口腔修復科、牙體牙髓病科、牙周病科、口腔正畸科和口腔黏膜病科為國家臨床重點專科。中西醫(yī)結(jié)合黏膜病學是國家中醫(yī)藥局重點學科。

上海交通大學口腔醫(yī)學不僅是國家口腔醫(yī)學中心、國家口腔疾病臨床醫(yī)學研究中心,也是上海市臨床口腔醫(yī)學中心,上海市重中之重臨床醫(yī)學研究中心。此外還擁有上海市口腔醫(yī)學研究所、上海市口腔醫(yī)學重點實驗室、上海市口腔材料測試中心、上海市口腔臨床質(zhì)量控制中心、上海口腔醫(yī)學先進技術與材料工程技術研究中心,同時也是國際口腔頜面外科醫(yī)師協(xié)會授予的口腔頜面外科專科醫(yī)師培訓基地,是英國愛丁堡皇家外科學院在我國的唯一口腔頜面與頭頸腫瘤培訓中心和國際內(nèi)固定修復學會顱頜面亞太培訓中心,英國愛丁堡皇家外科學院國內(nèi)唯一口腔正畸專科醫(yī)師培訓基地,英國愛丁堡皇家外科學院口腔正畸專科醫(yī)師中國考試基地,英國愛丁堡皇家外科學院口腔種植與修復專科醫(yī)師培訓考試中心以及SORG口腔頜面外科中國培訓中心。

上海交通大學口腔醫(yī)學院是全國唯一擁有兩位中國工程院院士的口腔醫(yī)學院校。現(xiàn)有邱蔚六和張志愿兩位中國工程院院士,國際頂尖牙科專家Maurizio Tonetti教授,有俄羅斯工程院外籍院士1名,國家杰出青年基金獲得者2名,國家優(yōu)秀青年基金獲得者3名、國家優(yōu)秀青年基金(海外)獲得者2名,教育部“長江學者”特聘教授2名,“青年長江學者”1名,衛(wèi)生部有突出貢獻中青年專家2名,“新世紀百千萬人才工程”國家級人選2名,教育部新世紀人才計劃1名,以及國家自然科學基金創(chuàng)新研究群體負責人1名。

十四五期間,承擔了國家級科研項目120余項,包括國家自然科學基金委優(yōu)秀青年科學基金項目(含海外)3項、重點項目3項、重大研究計劃培育項目1項,科技部國家重點研發(fā)計劃項目4項、課題5項、高端外國專家引進計劃1項,國家衛(wèi)健委國家臨床重點專科建設項目4項,工信部項目1項。發(fā)表SCI收錄科研論文750余篇,其中45.3%的論文發(fā)表在JCR分區(qū)Q1區(qū)雜志上。獲得國家級及省、部級及各類行業(yè)協(xié)會科技獎勵20余項,其中包括教育部科技進步二等獎、中國醫(yī)院協(xié)會醫(yī)院科技創(chuàng)新獎、中國發(fā)明協(xié)會發(fā)明創(chuàng)業(yè)獎創(chuàng)新獎一等獎、中國醫(yī)學裝備協(xié)會全國臨床與創(chuàng)新發(fā)明大賽一等獎、中華口腔醫(yī)學會科技獎三等獎、上海市衛(wèi)健委“春昇杯”醫(yī)學創(chuàng)新人才大賽三等獎、上海醫(yī)學會上海醫(yī)學科技獎青年獎等科技成果獎7項;榮獲樹蘭醫(yī)學青年獎、中國女醫(yī)師協(xié)會五洲女子科技獎、上海市青年科技杰出貢獻獎、上海市白玉蘭紀念獎、上海市衛(wèi)生系統(tǒng)銀蛇獎二等獎、上海市女醫(yī)師協(xié)會醫(yī)樹獎二等獎、美國牙周病學會ROBINSON牙周再生獎、歐洲牙周病學聯(lián)盟EFP成就獎、意大利牙周病學協(xié)會SIdP伽利略獎等科技榮譽9項。現(xiàn)有2個國家級平臺、1個全國科普教育基地和5個上海市專業(yè)技術服務平臺;高度重視基地平臺績效評估工作,歷次評估均獲“優(yōu)良”。

口腔醫(yī)學院作為我國高層次口腔醫(yī)學專業(yè)人才的培養(yǎng)基地,是國家教學示范培訓中心,是上海市實驗教學示范中心,同時也是上海市口腔醫(yī)學專業(yè)學位研究生實踐示范基地。目前在校學生有口腔五年制、口腔5+3,口腔七年制、口腔八年制、碩士研究生、博士研究生等。口腔醫(yī)學院的教學基地主要是上海交通大學醫(yī)學院附屬第九人民醫(yī)院,有口腔綜合治療椅位506臺,床位323張。

口腔醫(yī)學院于1981年獲得主管部門批準為博士學位授予點,1991年批準為博士后科研流動站。口腔醫(yī)學院現(xiàn)有口腔專業(yè)博士研究生導師61名,碩士研究生導師58名。《口腔頜面外科學》、《口腔黏膜病學》和《口腔解剖學》為國家級精品課程,《口腔正畸學》為國家級全英語教學示范課程,《口腔外科學》是首批國家級一流線下課程,《口腔修復學》《口腔預防醫(yī)學》分別獲得教育部第二批國家級一流線下和線上本科課程,“口腔頜面外科學”教學團隊為國家級教學團隊。《口腔修復學》、《口腔預防醫(yī)學》、《口腔病理學》、《口腔免疫學》、《牙周病學》是上海市精品課程;《口腔組織病理學》、《口腔顱頜面外科學》是上海市全英語教學示范課程;《口腔黏膜病學》、《口腔修復學》、《口腔解剖學》、《口腔組織病理學》、《口腔正畸學》、《口腔預防醫(yī)學》、《牙體牙髓病學》、《口腔頜面頭頸腫瘤學》、《口腔黏膜系統(tǒng)整合課程》是上海市教委重點課程。《口腔頜面-頭頸腫瘤的顯微外科重建》、《顳下頜關節(jié)外科及微創(chuàng)外科》、《數(shù)字化口腔正畸隱形矯正基礎課程》是上海高校外國留學生英語授課示范課程。《3D數(shù)字化根管預備技術及評測虛擬仿真實驗》是上海市首批虛擬仿真實驗教學項目,《3D數(shù)字化根管預備技術及評測》是國家虛擬仿真實驗教學項目。《口腔頜面部腫瘤》課程獲上海市級本科課程思政示范課程。口腔醫(yī)學課程虛擬教研室獲批教育部首批虛擬教研室建設試點。

學院牽頭主編的多部口腔統(tǒng)編教材獲全國高等醫(yī)藥院校優(yōu)秀教材一、二等獎。教學成果方面,《創(chuàng)新能力導向的口腔醫(yī)學生培養(yǎng)模式構建與實踐》獲得2018年國家級教學成果二等獎、2017年上海市級教學成果獎一等獎;《“名師引領,四位一體”培養(yǎng)卓越口腔醫(yī)學創(chuàng)新人才的探索與實踐》獲得2022年國家級教學成果二等獎;《進階式全周期口腔虛擬仿真實訓教學模式的構建和實踐》榮獲2019年上海交通大學教學成果獎特等獎。《口腔頜面外科學》規(guī)劃教材第8版獲首屆全國優(yōu)秀教材(高等教育類)一等獎。

我院主辦3本中文學術期刊和1本英文學術期刊。《上海口腔醫(yī)學》為Medline收錄期刊,《中國口腔頜面外科雜志》為中華口腔醫(yī)學會口腔頜面外科專業(yè)委員會官方刊物,《口腔材料器械雜志》為中華口腔醫(yī)學會口腔材料專業(yè)委員會會刊。英文學術期刊《Frontiers of Oral and Maxillofacial Medicine,F(xiàn)OMM》于2019年5月創(chuàng)刊,并被Scopus數(shù)據(jù)庫收錄。

上海交通大學口腔醫(yī)學院與美國哈佛大學牙學院、美國波士頓大學牙學院、瑞典卡羅琳斯卡大學牙學院、日本大阪齒科大學、日本福岡齒科大學等近30所海外院校或?qū)W術機構建立了合作關系。曾多次成功主辦國際學術會議,在國際上享有一定聲譽。



1. Brief introduction

“To learn, to think, to care and to devote”is the motto of the Stomatology of Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SSJTU). Founded in 1932, SSJTU is one of the earliest and leading stomatological disciplines established in China. SSJTU consists of 13 affiliated hospitals, and its main teaching, scientific research and clinical bases are located at Shanghai Ninth People's hospital. SSJTU has been included in all of the major discipline construction projects led by the Chinese government, including National Key Disciplines, "211" Project, and "Double First-Class" Disciplines, and others. The annual number of outpatient and emergency visits in SSJTU exceeds 1.4 million, and over 32,000 outpatient operations and over 13,000 inpatient operations are performed annually. More than 70% of patients are from across China and overseas nations, and over 50% of patients present with difficult and critical illnesses, and especially for treatment of complex cranio-maxillofacial tumors and deformities and their functional repair, complex temporomandibular joint disease, and critical craniofacial trauma. The directors of the departments of Pediatric Stomatology, Orthodontics and Oral Implantology of SSJTU are also the Chairmen of the national special committee on Pediatric Stomatology, Orthodontics and Oral Implantology. They launched a number of clinical frontier treatment technological revolutions and scientific research projects in these fields. No other institution in China undertakes this breadth and depth of complex care on this scale.

2. Representative faculty

SSJTU has one of the best teaching teams in China. In the field of Stomatology, the only two academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering are from SSJTU. The faculty of the discipline include three National High Level Personnel Training / Young Talent Training Scholars, the leader of the National Natural Innovation Group, three National Natural Outstanding Young People and two National Distinguished Young People. In addition, Professor Tonetti, editor-in-chief of the highly ranked“Journal of Clinical Periodontology”, is also our full-time professor.

Faculty members of SSJTU have served in influential national leadership roles, including as the chairman/vice chairman of the Ministry of Education of the Chinese Branch of the International Dental Implant Association, the Medical Committee of Smile Asia Foundation, the International College of Prosthodontics (ICP), the Asian Federation of Oral Anesthesiology, and the Chinese Branch of the International Vascular Union. SSJTU Professors have led the formulation of Chinese standards of diagnosis and treatment for oral diseases, such as "Chinese guidelines for prevention and treatment of dental caries" and "Chinese norms for pathological diagnosis of oral cancer".

3. Representative graduates

The School’s faculty and trainees have demonstrated compelling knowledge and influence, thereby promoting the progress of Stomatology. Many SSJTU alumni have profoundly impacted the discipline on a global level, including Zhou Laisheng (director of Department of Stomatology of Boston University), Li Yiming (distinguished professor, vice president and director of Dental Research Center of Loma Linda University, School of Dentistry), Chen Jinkun (tenured professor of Dental College of Tufts University), Liu Yuelian (director of Dental Implant and Prosthodontics Research Center, Affiliated StomatologicalHospital, University of Amsterdam / Free University, Netherlands), Guo Chuanbin (director of Peking University Hospital of Stomatology), and Hu QinGang (director of Nanjing Stomatological Hospital, Medical School of Nanjing University).SSJTU 's student training mode has been highly recognized by the Ministry of education of China. As a result, SSJTU has received the highest award regarding Chinese students' education and training, the National Teaching Achievement Award. Younger SSJTU scholars have also become young-leaders in related research fields. Their research results have been published in Nature, Advanced Materials, Advanced Science, Genome Biology, Journal of Dental Research and other journals. Some of them are already the youngest doctoral tutors in the field in China.

4. Representative achievements

Innovation fuels discovery at SSJTU. At present, SSJTU houses both the National Stomatological Center, the highest level of clinical medical practice in China, and the National Clinical Research Center for Oral Diseases, the highest level of translational research in China. Here, faculty members and graduate students strive to alleviate suffering caused by oral diseases. In the past five years, four National Key R & D Projects (Chief scientist), the largest research projects funded by the Chinese government, and 10 other National Key Research Projects, have been undertaken at SSJTU. SSJTU's oral cancer department has become the world's largest oral cancer treatment center. Functional restoration therapies after oral cancer surgery were awarded the China National Science and Technology Progress Award. Based on the world's most comprehensive oral cancer sample bank and bioinformatics database, the world's most advanced standardized PDX model of malignant melanoma was established. The structural basis of the recognition and modification of nucleosomes by MLL methyltransferase was analyzed, which was reported in a top international academic journal, Nature. Supported by the National Innovation Group Project, the prosthodontics team has established an interdisciplinary group and expanded the influence and impact of Stomatology by eliminating traditional barriers to collaboration across disciplines. In order to achieve high-quality regeneration of maxillofacial bone tissue and rapid osseointegration of dental implants, a variety of novel regeneration strategies were created from the aspects of structure / component modification of biomaterials, optimal combination of stem cells and active factors. The study on the directional delivery and differentiation of seed cells by using magnetically controlled composite growth factor cell sheet was published in Advanced Materials. A study on the synergistic effect of hollow tube 3D printing scaffold and bioactive ions on vascularized bone regeneration was proposed, and was published in Biomaterials. The department of oral and maxillofacial surgery and orthodontics has established a full digital joint diagnosis and treatment protocol of orthognathic orthodontics joints, and developed a precise technical system of temporomandibular joint rehabilitation. 3D printing combined with surface functional modification is used to realize personalized precise repair and tumor treatment requirements, published in Advanced Functional Materials. Design of a novel biomimetic polymer pegs double-layer scaffold for cartilage mechanics to regulate the repair of full-thickness joint defects has been published in Biomaterials. Development of 3D printing implant surface activation and functional modification technology, rapid and accurate repair of joint deformity and defect research results, received second prize at the National Science and Technology Progress Awards. The oral implant team was the first to report the stable effect of minimally invasive maxillary sinus augmentation combined with flapless implant placement, and was invited to report its findings at the European Conference on Osteosynthesis. Full-time professor Tonetti has proved, for the first time in the world, the stable and long-term effect of maxillary sinus lifting under extreme bone atrophy in maxillary posterior area, published in Journal of Clinical Periodontology.

5. Domestic & international influences of the discipline

SSJTU ranks 2nd in the 2021 China’s best discipline ranking by Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU). The discipline organizes a 25-session dental exhibition during DenTech China and the China International Dental Symposium in October every year. In 2020 and 2021, a total of approximately 900 exhibitors from 27 countries and regions participated, and close to 100,000 professional visitors from 35 countries and regions attended the exhibition. Meanwhile, more than 200 lectures were given by experts covering clinical technology and research in various disciplines. SSJTU has edited and published four academic journals, including Shanghai Journal of Stomatology, China Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Chinese Journal of Dental Materials and Devices and Frontiers of Oral and Maxillofacial Medicine. All these journals provide an academic platform, which allow the researchers around the world to display their latest research findings. The discipline has also established cooperative relations with nearly 40 overseas universities or academic institutions, including Harvard School of Dental Medicine, Boston University School of Dental Medicine, Karolinska Institute Department of Dental Medicine, Osaka Dental University and Fukuoka Dental College.

SSJTU has 6 international training bases and centers; the Oral and Maxillofacial Tumor Surgery and Reconstruction Training Center endorsed by the International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (IAOMS) (the first in China), AOCMF Reference Center-Asia Pacific, the Sino-German Dental Training Center (Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Division), Head and Neck Oncologic Surgery Fellowship Program of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (the world's first outside the United Kingdom), the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh Training and Examination center for Orthodontic Fellowship (the only one in Asia), the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh Training and Examination Center for Diploma of Implant Dentistry and Restorative Dentistry (the only one in China). We also established the Shanghai-Sydney Joint Laboratory of Bioengineering and Regenerative Medicine.Professor Xinquan Jiang served as the first President of ICP from China (2021 to 2023) and successfully hosted the 20th ICP Conference in China for the first time in 2023.

Scholars and students in the discipline also participated in international academic competitions and their achievements are recognized by the international academic community, such as International Association for Dental Research (IADR) Hatton Award, IADR Prosthodontics Branch Arthur R. Frechette New Investigator /Travel Award, the first batch of“Research Funding Programs”of the ICP, Young Investigator Prize of IADR Oral Implant Research Branch, First Prize of Outstanding Young Scholar Award of IADR China Branch, and the only special prize of ASEAN International Forum, EU "Erasmus+ Program", and ITI Scholarships Fund projects.
